What inspired you to found Ampere Dynamic, and how has your vision for the company evolved since 2020?

The inspiration behind founding Ampere Dynamic in 2020 stemmed from the pressing need for sustainable energy solutions in Switzerland’s industrial and commercial sectors. Prior to 2020, Switzerland’s incentive system for renewable energy was not optimally structured, leading to hesitancy among businesses to invest in renewable technologies. A legislative change in 2020 improved the framework conditions, encouraging companies to transition towards sustainable energy solutions. Recognizing this opportunity, we established Ampere Dynamic to provide specialized large-scale photovoltaic systems tailored to the unique needs of our clients.

Since our inception, our vision has expanded beyond photovoltaic installations to encompass a broader spectrum of integrated energy solutions. We have ventured into areas such as the electrification of logistics, energy optimization, and the incorporation of high-quality components and innovative technologies. This evolution reflects our commitment to not only meet but anticipate the dynamic energy needs of our clients, ensuring profitability, sustainability, and independence in their operations.

Can you share a project where Ampere Dynamic’s expertise in photovoltaic systems made a significant impact?

A standout project that exemplifies our expertise is the development of Europe’s largest fast-charging park for electric lorries, undertaken in collaboration with the Hugelshofer Group and other partners. Located in Switzerland, this facility features a solar power plant comprising three rooftop and two truckport photovoltaic systems, delivering a combined output of just over one megawatt (1,001 kWp). This project not only showcases our capability to execute large-scale renewable energy solutions but also earned the prestigious Swiss Logistics Award in 2024, highlighting its significant impact on sustainable logistics infrastructure.

How do you envision Ampere Dynamic shaping Switzerland’s energy future, especially with the goals of the Swiss Energy Strategy 2050 in mind?
