What does a typical day look like for you at LEXR?
I wouldn’t say that there is a typical day at LEXR. Each day offers new challenges and the possibility to approach things differently. I appreciate that I am mostly flexible and can set my work agenda and times. It enables me to get my tasks done efficiently. But if we assume a perfect day, in my opinion, which fortunately often happens, I start at 6:30 and work through my tasks peacefully, without being disturbed by anyone or anything. At 9:00 a.m., we have a call within the team, depending on the need, to discuss ongoing and upcoming projects. Afterward, I continue to work focused once again. In the summer, I may take a short swim in the Limmat in the afternoon and then return to work. As long as we communicate this within the team, it’s not a problem, which I especially appreciate about LEXR.
What is your favorite kind of work task at LEXR?
I like constant and repetitive work tasks that enable me to concentrate on a specific topic and do diligent work. At the same time, there is a big drive to improve existing processes constantly. I also appreciate the large new projects that come up, where I can deep-dive into a specific topic and stay involved from start to finish. This fosters innovative thinking. Finally, I would say that I appreciate this mix the most because you never get bored, and you are constantly challenged. This is also mainly because you are allowed to get involved in projects that interest you, even if it is across teams.
What surprised you most about LEXR?
Honestly, nothing, as I got a pretty clear picture from the appearance on the web and at events, and I knew for what LEXR stands. The image they bring across is 100% how it is like in reality. Thus, I wasn’t surprised about LEXR but happy about this reality.
Who would you recommend the LEXR Junior Associate Programme to?
Everyone who dares to take on responsibility, show initiative, test new borders, and take new risks.
